| This review explores the mechanism of vitamin D for the treatment of osteoporosis from the incidence of osteoporosis point of view in the elderly. The active metabolite type and the significance of monitoring vitamin D in clinic are also discussed. This can be useful to guide the clinical drug use and individualized treatment in elderly osteoporosis patients. |
