Objective To observe the changes of indicators in patients with the liver and the kidney Yin deficiency osteoporosis before and after the treatment, and to investigate a new evaluation method by using the weight coefficient of each index to comprehensively evaluate the curative effect. Methods By literature retrieval and clinical observation, 60 patients with the liver and the kidney Yin deficiency osteoporosis were selected. All the patients were given the tonifying the liver and the kidney treatment with calcium supplements. Each index weight coefficient was defined according to expert survey form.Pain, main symptoms and signs according to traditional Chinese medicine, bone metabolic biochemical index (β-CrossLaps and P1NP), and bone mineral density ( BMD) were determined before and 5 months after the treatment, in order to determine the grade of the curative effect. The changes of the indexes before and 5 months after treatment were also evaluated. Results The weight coefficient of pain, symptoms and signs according to traditional Chinese medicine, P1NP, β-CrossLaps, BMD of L2-L4 was 28%, 28%, 15.3%, 6.7%, and 22%, respectively. The comprehensive weighted score over 23.8% was considered as cured, 13.4% -23.8% was considered as improved, and below 13.4%was considered as non-cured.Various indicators changed before and after the treatment. Conclusion As a multi-index evaluation system, using the weight coefficient method can make a comprehensive evaluation, which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
