      Objective To investigate the change of bone mineral density (BMD) and its influential factors in patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Methods One hundred and eleven patients with newly diagnosed T2DM were selected, including 75 males and 36 females. BMD of the lumbar vertebrae, femoral neck, and total hip was measured using dual energy X- ray absorptiometry ( DEXA).
