Objective To explore the whole body vibration training on bone mineral density, the influence of the older women as to provide theoretical basis for prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly. Methods Age,height, weight, matching the experimental group (n = 26) and the control group (n =26) dual-energy X-ray bone density test, the experimental group for 24 weeks (three times a week, 20 minutes per time,20 - 35 Hz frequency and amplitude of 3mm) whole body vibration training. Results The experimental group big rotor (increased by 9. 1% , P =0. 042), Ward’s triangle (increased by 16. 9% , P = 0.030), and lumbar L2-4(7. 6%,P =0.039) bone mineral density increased significantly, while the left femoral neck bone mineral density had no significant change (P >0. 05). Conclusion Whole body vibration training can improve the bone mineral density, older women advice as a non-drug therapy to prevent osteoporosis in the elderly. |
