Osteoporosis is a bone disease susceptible to the middle-aged and elderly people. Treatments for osteoporosis have many varieties, mainly including drug therapy and physical therapy. The effect of drug therapy is exact, but the treatment period is too long, the compliance of patients is low, the cost is high, and the drugs have adverse reactions. Compared to other methods, physical therapy has the advantage of less side effect. In order to illustrate the related research work about the physical therapy, this paper investigates the therapeutic effect of physical therapy on osteoporosis, including pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMFs), hyperbaric oxygen (HO) therapy, ultrasonic therapy, cupping therapy, shock wave, vibration, and exercise therapy. The mechanism of action and clinica1 application are analyzed. Through the research, we try to find more reasonable choice for clinical treatment in order to achieve better therapeutic effect. |
