      骨质疏松症是最常见的骨骼疾病,以骨量丢失、骨的显微结构发生改变为特征,导致骨的脆性增加、易于骨折,严重影响患者生活质量,增加致残率及病死率,给家庭及社会造成沉重负担。随着老龄化社会的到来,骨质疏松症在人群中的发病率呈逐年上升的趋势。机械振动作为一种短期、简便、无创、不良反应少的物理疗法受到广泛关注。机械振动的成骨效应已在多项细胞和动物实验中得到验证,并获得临床试验的支持,但其作用机制尚不明确,现有骨传导、肌动力、骨血灌注、脂质代谢、压电效应等多种假说。机械振动有多种应用模式,包括局部或全身振动、垂直或复合振动、间歇或持续振动、单独或联合应用等,但目前在不同模式的疗效及选择上仍有争议。因此,了解机械振动在防治骨质疏松症领域的应用概况及各种振动模式的特点可为今后的科学研究和临床应用提供新的思路。

      Osteoporosis is the most common skeletal disease, which is characterized by low bone mineral density and deterioration of skeletal microarchitecture, leading to increased risk of fragility fracture. It has a significant adverse impact on a patient’s quality of life, increases the modality and mortality, thus making a huge burden on families and society. With the coming of aging society, the incidence of osteoporosis is mounting up each year. As a short-term, convenient, noninvasive, and less adverse physical therapy, mechanical vibration has aroused widely public attention. The osteogenesis effect of mechanical vibration is validated in multiple cell and animal experiments, and supported by clinical trials. Presently, there are various theories concerning the mechanism of mechanical vibration, such as osteoconduction, myodynamics, bone blood perfusion, lipometabolism, piezoelectric effect. However, these theories are not generally accepted. There are many modes of vibration, including local vs. systemic, vertical vs. compound, interval vs. continued, single-agent vs. combination. Researchers have not yet reached a consensus on therapeutic efficacy as well as therapeutic schemes. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the status of mechanical vibration and the characteristics of various vibration modes, which is helpful to provide new ideas for future research and clinical practice.
