Total flavonoids from drynaria fortunei, an effective component extracted from drynaria fortunei, have been widely used in basic and clinical research, especially in osteoporosis research. Research at different levels has been conducted to prove the effect of drynaria fortunei flavonoids on osteoporosis, from molecular pathways, such as BMP-smads signal pathway, Wnt/β-catenin pathway, MAPK signal pathway, CTSK signal pathway and OPG/rankl/rank signal pathway, to in vitro cells, bone tissue and clinical research. In addition, the total flavonoids of Rhizoma drynariae can also be used for treating fracture, bone defect, knee osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, femoral head necrosis, distraction osteogenesis, etc. For the treatment of various orthopedic related diseases, Drynaria fortunei flavonoids can play a role through the same molecular protein pathway. From the microscopic point of view, this reflects the characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine of treating different diseases with the same therapeutic principle. Although drynaria fortunei flavonoids are widely used in basic and clinical fields, further research is needed to explore its mechanism of action, and the interaction between different molecular pathways needs further study and clarification. In addition, the total flavonoids of drynaria fortunei still belongs to mixed ingredients, among which naringin has a prominent function, but it cannot completely replace the function of total flavonoids of drynaria fortune. Therefore it is necessary to further separate and extract it, and identify different effective ingredients that regulate different targets of osteoporosis more accurately. |
