Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of anti-osteoporosis and bone strengthening mixture combined with basic anti-osteoporosis drugs in primary osteoporosis, and to explore its application prospects. Methods A total of 174 patients with primary osteoporosis were randomly divided into treatment group, control group 1, and control group 2, with 58 cases in each group. Patients in the treatment group received anti-osteoporosis and bone strengthening mixture, calcium carbonate D3 tablets, and alendronate sodium tablets. Patients in the control group 1 received calcium carbonate D3 tablets and alendronate sodium tablets. Patients in the control group 2 received Xianlinggubao capsules, calcium carbonate D3 tablets, and alendronate sodium tablets. After 6 months of continuous observation, the changes of TCM syndrome scores, bone mineral density, and bone metabolic and biochemical indicators before and after the treatment were analyzed. Results (1) The total effective rate of the treatment group in the evaluation of TCM syndromes was 87.18%, which was better than that of the control group (66.67%, P<0.05), and there was no significant difference compared with the control group 2 (82.05%, P>0.05). In the improvement of single symptom and sub-symptoms, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group 1 and the control group 2 (P<0.05). (2) All the three treatment methods improved bone mineral density of the lumbar spine and the femoral neck. The treatment group had better effect in improving the bone mineral density of the patients. Compared with the control group 1 and the control group 2, there was significant difference (P<0.05). (3) The treatment group improved the bone turnover index of the patients, and there was significant difference before and after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Anti-osteoporosis and bone strengthening mixture is effective in the treatment of primary osteoporosis. It improves TCM syndrome scores, increases bone mineral density, promotes bone formation, reduces bone resorption, improves bone metabolism, and prevents osteoporosis. |
