Osteoporotic fracture (OF) is the most serious complication in patients with osteoporosis (OP), which has a great impact on the patients’ life and a high mortality rate. The prediction tool can effectively evaluate the risk of OF, which is beneficial to the early prevention and treatment. This paper mainly describes the three most commonly used OF risk assessment tools: FRAX, QFracture, and Garvan nomogram. By referring to the published data in recent years, we summarize the advantages and disadvantages of FRAX, Qfracture, and Garvan nomogram from the aspects of risk factors, applicable population, prediction ability, etc., aiming to provide reference for clinical work and self-management of the patients. |
