Objective To analyze of the influence of lumbar soft tissue injury on percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) in patients with severe osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (SOVCF). Methods From June 2016 to June 2020, 116 patients with SOVCF treated by PVP were chose. The patients were divided into two groups, including lumbar soft tissue injury group (47 cases) and control group (69 cases) based on the presence of lumbar soft tissue injury judging by the examination of MRI. Collect the data of Avisual analog scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Barthel index (BI), postoperative ambulation time, complications, and so on, which were recorded and analyzed statistically. Results There were significant differences between the groups(P<0.05) in VAS, ODI, BI, and rate of complications. Conclusion Back soft tissue injury is one of the causes of residual pain after PVP in patients with SOVCF, and it affects the postoperative functional recovery of patients, which should be paid attention to. |
