Hyperthyroid osteoporosis is a secondary disease caused by excessive bone metabolism and bone mineralization caused by excessive thyroid hormones. As the pace of society continues to accelerate, its incidence also increases year by year. Because of its silent onset, miss to diagnosis or fail to diagnosis often occurs in the clinic, which delays the best time for treatment, aggravates the disease, and prolongs the course of the disease. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are the key to the treatment of this disease. For its treatment, modern medicine does not have a clear treatment plan and early intervention methods. Traditional Chinese medicine has sufficient advantage in the treatment of hyperthyroid osteoporosis. Canon of the Yellow Emperor demonstrates that the liver preserves blood, governs dispelling, adjusts Qi, and strengthens bone, suggesting that the operation of qi and blood and the growth of muscle and bone are closely related to dispelling function of the liver. However, the current clinical treatment mostly focuses on that the kidney governs the bone and generates marrow, ignoring the importance of treatment from the liver in the prevention and treatment of hyperthyroid osteoporosis. This article aims to discuss the relevance of clinical research of treatment from the liver for hyperthyroid osteoporosis from the perspective of Chinese and Western medicine, and to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of hyperthyroid osteoporosis. |
