Objective To analyze the medication regularities of traditional Chinese medicine compound patent for the treatment of primary osteoporosis based on data mining. Methods By searching the patent database of China National Intellectual Property Administration, the patent data of traditional Chinese medicine compound patent in the treatment of primary osteoporosis in the past 10 years were obtained. The prescription database was established with a Microsoft Excel 2016 software. Python-WorldCloud, IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0, and IBM SPSS Statistics 23 software were used for statistical analysis of data by using word cloud visualization analysis, association rule analysis, and cluster analysis. Results With conditional screening, a total of 246 prescription patent data were included, involving 290 herbs. Single Chinese medicine Cortex Eucommiae (108 times, 43.1%), Herba Epimedii (102 times, 41.46%), and Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (98 times, 39.84%) were the top three medicines with the highest frequency. High frequency medicines (frequency≥30) were mainly belong to liver, kidney, and spleen channel tropism. Their properties were mainly warm and plain, and the tastes were mainly sweet and bitter. The proportion of high frequency medicines mainly were tonifying deficiency and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis medicines. The association rule analysis obtained 7 medicine groups. The cluster analysis obtained 8 clusters. Conclusion The treatment of primary osteoporosis with traditional Chinese medicine compound has an obvious rule. It always follows the principle of tonifying the liver and kidney to consolidate its foundation, regulating yin and yang to obtain relative equilibrium of yin and yang, guarding the pathogenesis, strengthening the vital qi and eliminating pathogenic qi. It accords with the theoretical basis of treating primary osteoporosis with traditional Chinese medicine. |
