Objective To analyze the component law of Chinese medicine prescription in fuming-washing therapy for osteoporotic fractures, and to provide the reference for the prospective application of the fuming-washing therapy. Methods Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy were recorded in a database by extracting the electronic medical information from Henan Orthopedic Hospital in 2018. The frequency, meridian entry, the correlation among herbs, and core combination of herbs were analyzed by using the association rules. Statistical analysis was conducted with a R 1.4.1106 software. Results Five herbs with high frequency were garden balsam stem (80.04%), limonium sinense (80.04%), Sichuan pepper (78.56%), Chuanxiong (73.25%), and Chuanwu (73.25%). Fuming-washing prescription was mainly consisted of drugs with warm character. The meridian entries were mainly consisted of the liver, kidney, and spleen. Correlation analysis demonstrated that garden balsam stem - limonium sinense combination and garden balsam stem or Sichuan pepper - limonium sinense combination were the most common herb pairs. The correlation coefficient between syndromes and herbs revealed that syndrome of qi deficiency of spleen and kidney - epimedium, syndrome of yin deficiency of liver and kidney - root of bidentate achyranthes, and syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis - saffron were the representative rules. Saffron-sea paulownia bark was the core combination by using the interest measure. Conclusion Eliminating rheumatism to clear the meridians, invigorating blood and removing blood stasis to relieve pain, and taking care of nourishing the liver and kidney are the major treatment methods for osteoporotic fractures. The Gusong prescription is mainly composed of garden balsam stem, limonium sinense, and epimedium with the efficacy of relaxing muscles and collaterals, nourishing the kidney, and strengthening bones. The soft-trauma recipe is consisted of saffron, sea paulownia bark, and logwood with the the efficacy of promoting blood circulation, dispelling wind and dampness, and removing blood stasis. |
