Osteoporosis (OP) is a common complication of Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). OP is characterized by reduced bone mass and microstructure damage, and fracture is more likely to occur when bone brittleness increases. The occurrence of OP seriously affects the treatment effect and quality of life of patients with AS. Therefore, prevention and routine treatment of OP should be carried out for patients with AS. At present, the main drugs for the treatment of OP are double phosphate, calcium and vitamin D, etc. related studies have found that conventional drugs for the treatment of the AS, such AS Tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (tumor necrosis factor inhibitor, TNFi), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, IL-17 (interleckin-17, IL-17) blockers, etc. also play a role in the treatment of OP, when combined fracture surgery is the primary treatment.Current studies mainly focus on the pathogenesis of AS, and there are few studies on the treatment of patients with AS combined with OP. Therefore, the author summarizes the relevant treatment methods for patients with AS combined with OP, and discusses the existing problems and future development direction. |
