Exosomes are extracellular vesicles secreted by different cells and exist in different body fluids such as blood, urine. and cerebrospinal fluid, with a diameter of about 40-100 nm. Due to the rich in a variety of bioactive proteins, DNA, microRNA, and other substances, they are the important material carrier for signal transmission and interaction between cells. Numerous studies have shown that exosomes of different cell origins promote cell proliferation and differentiation, promote bone and blood vessel regeneration, and play an increasingly important role in bone tissue engineering. In this paper, the research progress of exosomes of different cell sources in osteoporosis is reviewed, in order to provide a new potential cell-based treatment for osteoporosis. |
