With the increased aging of the population, muscle and bone synergy degeneration diseases such as sarcopenia-osteoporosis is increasing, which seriously affects the health of the elderly and brings enormous burden to the social medical treatment. In order to deeply study the pathological mechanism of sarcopenia-osteoporosis and develop effective clinical drugs, it is very important to construct an effective experimental animal model of sarcopenia-osteoporosis. This paper reviews the research progress of five sarcopenia-osteoporosis models, namely aging sarcopenia-osteoporosis model, castrated sarcopenia-osteoporosis model, chemically induced sarcopenia-osteoporosis model, disused sarcopenia-osteoporosis model, and gene sarcopenia-osteoporosis model. This paper deeply explores the research progress, characteristics, and application scope of different models, and briefly describes the evaluation methods of models, so as to provide a reasonable animal model for the study of pathological mechanism and clinical drugs of late sarcopenia-osteoporosis. |
