Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 expression level in elderly osteoporosis (OP) and its relationship with bone mineral density (BMD). Methods The BMD was measured in 350 elderly patients who underwent physical examination in Hainan West Central Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021, and they were divided into OP group (n=145), reduced bone mass group (n=156) and normal bone mass group (n=49). The expression levels of serum CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 in each group were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the influence factor of elderly OP, and ROC curve was drawn to analyze the diagnostic value of CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 for elderly OP. The correlation between serum CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 expression levels and BMD were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results The OP group serum CircRNA_0001795 (0.31±0.08 vs 1.24±0.51, 2.28±0.96) and CircRNA_0048211 (0.26±0.05 vs 0.91±0.40, 1.63±0.58) were significantly lower than those in reduced bone mass group and normal group (P<0.001). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age (OR=1.684, 95% CI: 1.163-2.995), PTH (OR=2.416, 95% CI: 1.702-5.883), CircRNA_0001795 (OR=3.108, 95% CI: 2.493-9.428) and CircRNA_0048211 (OR=1.942, 95% CI: 1.335-4.117) were influence factor for elderly OP (P<0.05). The best truncation values of CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 were 0.85 and 0.68, respectively. The AUC of the combined diagnosis of elderly OP by CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 was the largest (0.918, 95% CI: 0.857-0.977), and its accuracy was 91.2%. Correlation analysis showed that the expression levels of CircRNA_0001795(r= 0.804, P<0.001) and CircRNA_0048211(r= 0.775, P<0.001)were positively correlated with BMD in elderly OP patients. Conclusion CircRNA_0001795 and CircRNA_0048211 are low expressed in elderly OP patients, which are closely related to BMD. The combined detection of the two has a good value for the diagnosis of elderly OP. |
