Sarcopenia is the aging symptom?complex with progressive reduction and decline of skeletal muscle mass and strength, which increases the danger of disability, fracture, fall, and greatly endangers the quality of life of the patients. At present, the research on sarcopenia in China is in the early stage. Most research is heavily weighted in favour of pathogenesis, diagnosis and assessment, and rehabilitation treatment. The quality of survival has not yet been widely emphasized. This article reviews the assessment tools, factors influencing the quality of survival of the patients with sarcopenia and future research implications, with the aim of providing a basis for the development of localized tools for assessing the quality of survival of sarcopenia patients, the selection of appropriate assessment tools for medical practice, and in-depth research in related fields. |
