Objective To analyze the research characteristics and trends of the treatment of osteoporosis (OP) with traditional Chinese medicine in the recent 10 years. Methods The databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP (VIP), Wanfang (Wanfang), Web of Science (WOS), and PubMed were searched. Visual analysis of countries, institutions, authors, keywords, etc. was performed using a CiteSpace5.8. software. Results 2577 Chinese literature and 851 English literatures were finally included, showing a fluctuating upward trend in the number of published papers in the recent 10 years. The country that published the most relevant literature was China, while the one with the greatest centrality was Japan. The author who published the most Chinese and English literature was Zheng Hongxin and Jiake Xu, respectively. The research hot spots mainly focused on single traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine compound, cell differentiation, and bone mineral density, etc. Conclusion Gene differential expression, active components of traditional Chinese medicine, signaling pathways, and integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine may become the hot spots and trends in the future research on OP. |
