Osteoporosis is a common metabolic disease, mainly due to increased osteoclast activity or decreased osteoblast activity, or both, and bone remodeling imbalance. At present, osteoporosis is mainly treated with drugs, but all the drugs have their limitations. In recent years, the use of mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of osteoporosis has become more and more mature. However, due to the lack of suitable vectors to improve the bioavailability of mesenchymal stem cells, this treatment still faces great challenge. With the development of composite hydrogel, it can not only store stem cells, but also fill bone injury, leading to a new opportunity for stem cell therapy. This article mainly reviews the research progress of composite hydrogel loaded mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of osteoporosis, in order to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of osteoporosis. |
