With the rapid aging of the global population, sarcopenia and osteoporosis have attracted the attention of the whole society. Intestinal flora is an important part of the human intestinal ecosystem, known as the "second gene pool of the human body", which plays an important role in regulating musculoskeletal metabolism. Sarcopenia - osteoporosis is a common metabolic disease in the elderly, which has a great impact on the quality of life of the elderly. The disease is classified as "impotence syndrome" in the theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine. Based on the connotation of "nurture nature" theory, this paper discusses the gut-muscle axis and gut-bone axis theory, and proves that there is a correlation between intestinal flora and muscle and bone, that is, there is a close relationship between "microbe-gut-musculoskeletal". It is emphasized that intestinal flora is a co-existent factor of sarcopenia and osteoporosis. At the same time, based on the theory of "nurture and nature", the author expounded the obvious advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in regulating intestinal flora and preventing and treating sarcopenia and osteoporosis, reviewed the current research status, and proposed the feasibility of musculoskeletal co-therapy, aiming to provide ideas for the in-depth study of the relationship between intestinal flora and muscle and bone molecules, and the use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of sarcopenia and osteoporosis. |
