Bone metabolism-related cells regulate bone metabolism by exerting the functions of bone formation, secretion and absorption, so as to achieve the purpose of bone tissue repair and reconstruction. In this process, the functions of bone metabolism-related cells are regulated by many factors. Pyroptosis is a new type of pro-inflammatory programmed cell death mediated by Gasdermin gene family, which plays a key role in the course evolution of abnormal bone metabolism diseases. In this paper, the molecular mechanism of bone metabolism-related cell death and the related research on steroid-induced femoral head necrosis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other abnormal bone metabolism diseases are reviewed in order to provide new strategies for the prevention and treatment of abnormal bone metabolism diseases. |
