This article explores the important significance of the Yangming system in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis based on recent research on the "gut-bone axis". Starting from the definition of Yangming in the "Huangdi Neijing" and combining with the supplement of the concept of "Yangming" by later doctors, the connotation of the Yangming system is clarified. By reviewing recent research on the "gut-bone axis", the relationship between the Yangming system, the "gut-bone axis", and osteoporosis is explored. The Yangming system includes three aspects: qi movement, viscera, and channel and collateral. It is a functional system centered around the spleen and stomach, connected by the closure and descent of qi movement, radiating to multiple organs and channel and collateral. The "gut-bone axis" is an important component of the Yangming system and a microscopic expression of the macroscopic connection between the spleen, stomach and bone. With the continuous deepening of social aging, it is necessary to grasp the "gut-bone axis" at the micro level, and also start from the Yangming system as a whole, and treat osteoporosis based on syndrome differentiation. |
