With the continuous aging of the population, bone metabolism disorders caused by various reasons are becoming more and more serious, among which research on osteoporosis is becoming increasingly widespread. Hypoxia leads to abnormal bone metabolism and osteoporosis by affecting inflammation, blood vessels, and bone balance between osteoblasts and osteoclasts. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases collagen deposition, restores osteoprogenitor cell activity and bone microcirculation, relieves ischemic and hypoxic injury, prolongs the degradation period, and improves bone hardness and flexibility. The purpose of this article is to explore the imbalance of bone homeostasis hypoxia conditions and the regulation of metabolic disorders in the bone through the improvement of hypoxic environment through hyperbaric oxygen. It aims to explain the pathogenesis, development, and treatment of osteoporosis from the other perspective, so as to make new progress and breakthroughs in hyperbaric oxygen treatment and to find new targets for treating osteoporosis. |
