      Bile acid receptors function as crucial metabolic regulators and play a significant role in maintaining body homeostasis. These receptors are not only involved in the fine-tuning of glucose and lipid metabolism but also widely influence various physiological processes. Recent studies have revealed a close association between bile acid receptors and bone metabolism. Notably, the farnesoid X receptor (FXR) and the Takeda G protein-coupled receptor 5 (TGR5) are widely expressed in the bone tissue, suggesting that they may play significant regulatory roles in bone metabolism. However, the specific molecular mechanisms by which FXR and TGR5 regulate bone metabolism have not yet been fully elucidated. This article summarizes the current research status of FXR and TGR5 in the regulation of bone metabolism, aiming to provide new theoretical basis and innovative ideas for the treatment of bone metabolism diseases.
