Objective With the change of bio-psycho-social medical model, the new nursing of senile osteoporotic fractures causes the pressure source of physical and mental health harm for nurses. Evidence is provided for reducing stress and improving their life quality of the nurses. Methods A survey was conducted in the nurses working at the first line in the Department of Orthopedics using a self-designed questionnaire about pressure sources. The questionnaire included 13 kinds of pressure sources in 5 aspects. Common pressure sources were recognized when they were acknowledged by more than 80% nurses. Results The common pressure sources of nurses working at the first line in the Department of Orthopedics included stress from overload, tense working state, large workload, the shortage of nurses, strict requirements of hospital quality care, focusing of specially connotation, insufficient social support, lack of specialist knowledge in the young nurses, psychology,self-improvement ( examination, promotion, evaluation ),family and society, and the pressure of work environment. Conclusion At the same time when hospital nursing managers focus on improving the quality of nursing service, they must pay attention to the physical and mental health of nurses,vand make effective relief measures, in order to maintain the stability of nursing team in the Department of Orthopedics. |
